Alamkuh ski touring Detailed Itinerary

Day 1      Tehran

Arrival in Tehran; You will be welcomed by our agents upon your arrival at Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA), depending on your arrival time we plan a short sightseeing in Tehran, have dinner, overnight Tehran at the hotel.

Day 2      Drive to Kelardasht, Roodbarak Village (1650m)

Today at 9:00 after having breakfast we pack up skiing in Iran, equipments and drive to Kelardasht (160 km) via Chalus Road – the most beautiful road going though Alborz Mountain Range- which connects Tehran to the Caspian Sea; we will have lunch on the way at a fine restaurant, we will visit Kelardasht in the afternoon, next we drive to Roodbarak Village to the federation Hostel, will have a short walk in the evening, have dinner, get prepared for our first day of Iran ski touring on Alamkuh region, overnight Roodbarak at the hostel.

Day 3      Transfer to Vandarbon, Ski touring to Kalbozan Camp (2700m)

Today we start AlamKuh Ski tour, after having breakfast at 8:00, we will leave the hostel and will drive for 40 minutes by 4wd cars to Vandarbon Mountain camp (2200m), we hand the luggages to the mules and start Alamkuh Ski touring, for about 3 hours to Kalbozan Camp (2700m)  ( if the snow level is higher we might end up carrying skies for a short range), at the south face of Mount Alamkuh, we make our tents and will have lunch at the camp, in the afternoon we go for our Iran Ski-touring to Tang-e Galu (2900m) and enjoy Iran back country skiing down to the camp, have dinner, overnight Kalbozan at the camp.

Day 4      Iran Ski touring to Lashgarak Peak (4250m)

After having breakfast in the camp at 8:00 we start Our next day of Iran Ski touring to climb Lashgarak Peak (4250m), it takes 4 hours approximately to reach the summit by skies, then we have 1 enjoyable hour skiing down to the camp, will rest in the afternoon. Overnight the camp at Kalbozan.

Day 5      Iran Ski touring to Alamkuh Summit (4850m)

Today is the summit day of Mount Alamkuh, after having breakfast we start at 7:00 to climb Alamkuh by skies, it takes 6 hours approximately to reach the summit, some parts close to Alamkuh summit we need to carry skies, ski touring is not possible at some rocky parts, then from Alamkuh summit we have 2 hours of Iran back country skiing down to the camp, will rest in the afternoon. Overnight the camp at Kalbozan.

Day 6      Drive to the Caspian Sea, drive back to Tehran

Today is the final day of Almnkuh Ski touring, after having breakfast at 8:00 we pack up skiing equipment and leave the camp and will be transferred to Roodbarak Village by jeeps, we will leave a diary about Skiing in Iran and our Iran ski touring experience on the notebook at the hostel, then we drive to the Caspian Sea, we have lunch at a restaurant close to the beach, in the afternoon after having some rest we drive to Tehran, we will arrive at Alibabatrek’s office and that’s the end of our journey.
