Iran Historical Sites Tour Brief Introduction

Iran Historical Sites Detailed Itinerary

Day 1       Tehran / Ahvaz / Shushtar

Today we drive to Mehrabad Airport from the office as we have flight tickets early in the morning at 6:00 (there might be a small change in time according to airplanes schedule), 50 minutes from Tehran to Ahvaz, we have breakfast on the airplane, then we drive to Shushtar for approx. 2 hours, after an hour of rest at the hotel at 10:00 we go to visit “Shushtar” historical hydraulic system, having an interesting historical engineering structure, then we visit “Mizan Dam”, next we visit historical house of “Ghanad-ha” and traditional museum and restaurant of “Mostofi”, we have lunch at the restaurant at 13:00, having some rest in the afternoon, we go to visit a small Island in Karun River by boat, have dinner at a cozy restaurant beside the River, overnight Shushtar at the hotel.

Day 2       Shush / Dezful

After having breakfast at the hotel at 9:00 we drive for an hour to visit “Chogha Zanbil”, an ancient Elamite complex, one of the few existent ziggurats outside of Mesopotamia, then we visit “Shush Castle” which was constructed by a French archaeologist, we have lunch in a traditional restaurant at Shush at 13:00, having an hour of rest we continue visiting museums around the area, then at 17:00 we drive to Dezful for about 1 hour, then we have a look around the area and dinner at a local restaurant, overnight Dezful at the hotel.

Day 3       Dezful

After having breakfast at the hotel at 9:00 we go to visit “Karnasian” ancient bath and other historical places of the city, then we go to visit Dezful Bazaar, then we drive to “Chalkandi” Canyon where Dez River passes a rocky valley smoothly, we have kebabs as lunch beside the River, then we have some water recreation like boating, water sliding, swimming and etc till sunset, then we have dinner at a coastal restaurant beside the River, overnight Dezful at the hotel.

Day 4       Ahvaz / Tehran

After having breakfast at the hotel at 8:00 we drive to Ahvaz airport for approx. 2 hours where we have flight tickets at 11:00 (there might be a small change in time according to airplanes schedule), 50 minutes from Ahvaz to Tehran, we land around noon and drive to the office and that’s the end of our journey.
