The Persian Gulf is one of the important waterways in the Middle East. The strait of Hormuz connects the Persian Gulf to the high seas and the Indian Ocean. This gulf is the third biggest gulf in the world. Because of its geological features, the islands in this gulf are very unique. Also, these islands are among popular Iran destinations. Therefore, many want to travel with Qeshm tours to visit these amazing islands.

Hormuz & Qeshm Tour Detailed Itinerary

Day 1          Tehran / Qeshm Island / Hengam islands

Welcome to Iran! You will begin your Qeshm Tour by going to the airport with your tour guide. Your flight will take two hours.

After almost 1:45 hours of flight, you can see the Persian Gulf from the window of your plane. After arriving at Qeshm Island, we will go straight to the Naaz Islands. These islands are on the southern part of Qeshm Island. During the tide, you can easily walk on the water and it can barely reach your ankles. When you arrive at the island, you can enjoy the view of the Persian Gulf from the top of these cliff islands. Also, you can see the strait of Hormuz, Lark Island, and Qeshm Island.

Then, we will spend the next part of our Qeshm tour in the Valley of Stars. Valley of Stars is one of the unique natural masterpieces in Qeshm Island. Geologists estimate that it dates back to 2 billion years ago. The indigenous people in the island, believe a star hit the ground of the island and formed the valley of stars. Furthermore, they believe the star formed the shapes you can see in it. These shapes are out of dust, rock, and sands.

After that, we will have lunch at a restaurant.

Afternoon

After having lunch and resting a bit, we will go to the pier to get on a boat and go to the Hengam Island. If we are lucky enough, we will see the groups of dolphins swimming near the island. When we arrive at the island, we will spend the night on Khamasi beach in a camp. We will have dinner at this place as well. On this island, you can jump off the cliffs to the water which can be a very exciting experience. Also, you can visit the local bazaar on the island. If we are lucky enough, we can see some gazelles(chinkara) and hawksbill sea turtles as well.

Day 2          Qeshm

We will start this day of our Qeshm tour by having breakfast in Hengam Island. We will go back to Qeshm Island after having breakfast.

First, we will go to the Salt cave of Qeshm near the southern beaches of the island. The Salt Cave of Qeshm is the longest salt cave in the world. You can see salt crystals on the ground of this cave which makes it amazingly beautiful. Also, you can see salt stalactites on the ceiling making different shapes.

Next, we will go to Chahkooh village and have lunch there.

After resting a bit, we will go to see Chahkooh Canyon. Furthermore, this canyon has natural cliffs and statues. You can watch each of them for hours. Watching the stars during the night through the valley walls, show you a very different view. You won’t get tired of taking pictures of it.

Then, we will go back to the village, have dinner and overnight in the Chahkooh village.

Day 3           Qeshm / Hormuz

On this day of our Qeshm tour, we will go to the mangrove forests. On our way to the forest, we will visit the Valley of Statues. Hara/ mangrove forests are habitats of various animal and plant species. These forests are famous as the heaven of birdwatching in Iran. Hara forests are on the sea water and are compatible with the salty water.

Next, we will go to the city of Qeshm and have lunch.

After having lunch, we will finish our Qeshm tour by going to Hormuz island with fast boats. Stepping in Hormuz Island is like stepping on another planet. Hormuz Island is a magical and colorful island with a spectrum of more than 90 colors.

The shape of Hormuz Island is similar to a shell. Furthermore, it is famous for its red soil. But, the red soil is not the only wonder of this island. Hormuz tour might look like a dream for the tourists because you will step on silver, golden and white sands. After arriving at Hormuz island we will visit the Silence Valley first. This valley has an amazingly spectacular view and colorful mounts surround it. On the end of the valley, you can see the salt goddess. It is made of huge salt crystals of Hormuz island. Actually, this huge salt crystal is a colorful salt mount cut out beautifully.

We will continue our Hormuz tour by watching the sunset on the beach.

Later, we will have dinner and overnight the Hormuz Island in our residence.

Day 4          Hormuz

We begin this day of our Hormuz tour by having breakfast. Then, we will continue visiting the amazing Qeshm Island.

We will start from the western beaches of the island. First, we will go to Turtle Beach. (There are two types of turtles that lay eggs on the soft and sandy beaches of the Hormuz Island. One type of them are Green sea turtles and the others are the Hawksbill sea turtles. These turtles lay eggs by the end of winter till the start of Spring every year. Almost 50 days later, the baby turtles come out of the eggs and move towards the sea. Watching how these baby turtles go the sea attracts many tourists).

After that, we will go to White beach. We will get to a beach with white cliffs after passing through a cliff strait. After spending some time watching this island, we will go to the red beach. The sands of this beach are eatable and the local people use them as a spice in their food. So, you can call this island the only edible island in the world! On our way, we will pass by the red soil mines. Everything is red in there, even almost 2-3 meters of the sea water is red! Later, we will go for visiting a valley of rocks with different shapes. Each rock in this valley looks like an animal in the eyes of the creative viewers.

Hormuz, the colorful island

After that, we will continue our Hormuz tour by going to the Rainbow Valley. This valley is one of the parts of the island that has a lot of different colors. It is located on the southwestern part of the island. The Rainbow Valley has mounts and soil with different colors such as yellow, white, red, green and… The mixture of all these colors makes a spectacular beautiful scenery.

After that, we will go to a local house for having lunch.

Afternoon

After lunch, we will go to Mofanagh Beach which is a pristine beach far from the village. We will have a camp in this place and spend the night there. There is no doubt that you will not forget this part of your trip and the places you visited.

We will have dinner and overnight Hormuz Island in the camp.

Day 5          Hormuz / Bandar Abbas / Tehran

Today is the last day of our Hormuz tour. After having breakfast, we will leave the beach at 9 A.M and go back to the village. We will stay in a residence and rest a bit. Then, we will have lunch. After having lunch, we will finish our Hormuz tour by going to Bandar Abbas with a fast boat. There we will have a flight back to Tehran.
