Western Iran Travel Detailed Itinerary

Day 1          Tehran / Qom / Arak

On your first day in Western Iran Travel, we will start at 9:00 and we’ll Move from Tehran to Qom. Then we’ll visit Hozeh Sultan Salt Lake (138km / 2h). After that we continue our journey towards the Green Dome Tomb at 12:00 (50 km / 1 hour). Then we head to the city of Qom (4 km / 13 min) and we’ll have a delicious lunch there.

At 16:00 we pay a visit to Qom’s traditional bazaar and Buy some Sohan (special ethnic sweet of Qom) from Qom’s popular shops. At 18:00 we move towards (1.20 min / 121 km). the protected area of Sefid Qaleh (the white castle) and drink some tea there. Next we head to Arak city at 20:00 (105km / 1.15h). Overnight at the hotel and have dinner and relaxation.

Day 2          Arak

After having breakfast at the hotel we start our plan at 10:00, we go to Moghan Wetland and spend our time surfing there (20 km / 30 min). We head back to the hotel at 12:30 (20 km / 30 minutes). Spend lunch in Arak and relax in the hotel.

At 16:00 we visit Arak Historical Market, Holy Mosropet Church, Hassanpour House and Museum. After having dinner we go back to the hotel, overnight Arak at the hotel.

Day 3         Khorramabad

We start at 9:00 and after having breakfast at the Hotel we move to Khorramabad’s Gabri Mill (Grinding Mill) (209 km / 3h). Then we head to Khorramabad (2km / 10min) and we stay at the hotel for lunch and relaxation.

At 16:00 we go for Broken bridge (Shapouri Lorestan) (2km / 3min), Falak-ol-aflak Castle (2km / 5min) and we spend some time Walking in Khezr Gardens (2km / 7min). we head back to hotel have dinner and rest for the night, overnight Khorramabad at the hotel.

Day 4          Lorestan Nomad

On the fourth of Western Iran Travel, at 9:00 we Move to Lorestan Nomad Campus and spend our time by having lunch and staying in the tribe tents.

we patrol among the tribe and learn a bit about their life style. At night we have dinner and sleep in the nomad tents.

Day 5          Ilam

On the fifth day, we start at 10:00 after having Breakfast with nomads then we move to the valley of Khazyne (140 km / 2h). We spend time exploring Khazyne Valley and the Suspension Bridge and having lunch.

At 15:00 we head to Ilam (238 km / 4h), we go to the hotel and rest for a while, we enjoy drinking some tea in one of the Ilam’s local cafes, next we have dinner at the hotel and sleep there for the night.

Day 6          Ilam

At 10:00 we have our breakfast at the Hotel then we move to the Razianeh Strait (54 km / 1 hour). After visiting there we move towards the Kaferi Strait at 12:00 (25 km 20 min) and have lunch there. Then we start sightseeing and sailing in the strait.

At 16:00 we move back to Ilam (79 km 1.10 min). We visit Governor’s Castle (2km / 6min) then we can Purchase some of Ilam handicrafts walking through bazaar. Then we go back to the hotel for dinner and relaxation, overnight Ilam at the hotel.

Day 7          Shush

After having Breakfast at 9:00 we move towards the Siah Gav Twin Lake (292 km / 4 h). Spend lunch in the epic nature of the lake.

At 16:00 we move to Shush (142 km / 2h). Then we visit Shush’s attractions such as Shahoor Palace, Shush Museum for about one hour. Next we have dinner and overnight at a hotel in Shush.

Day 8          Shush / Shushtar

Starting at 10:00 we spend breakfast at Hotel, then we pay a visit to Tomb of Daniel the prophet for about half an hour. Then we go to Shush Castle (1 hour) and Apadana Palace of Shush (40 minutes). We have lunch at the Shush Ziggurat Restaurant.

At 15:00 we Move to Choghazenbil Ziggurat, the biggest existent Ziggurat in the world (46km / 45min) and we spend about an hour visiting there. Then we move towards Shushtar at 17:00 (44 km / 50 min). we head for Shushtar Aquatic Structures (An ancient hydraulic system) (2km / 10min) and spend time visiting there. We Visit Mostofi Restaurant and have a delicious dinner there, overnight Shushtar at a hotel.

Day 9          Shushtar / Lordegan Village

We have breakfast at the hotel then at 10:00 we move from Shushtar to Lordegan (300 km / 5h) we have lunch on the way at a local restaurant. We will Stay in a rural home then spend the rest of our day Walking and visiting the Lordegan area and get familiar with the special handicrafts. After having dinner we make ourselves ready for the rest of our journey.

Day 10          Lordegan Village / Shahr-e Kord

At 10:00 we have our breakfast at the rural house in Lordegan Village, next we head to the Armand River. After going on the Armand River for five hours we spend some time for lunch and relaxation.

At 17:00 we move to Shahr-e Kord (176 km / 3 hours). We have dinner at a restaurant, Overnight at a hotel in Shahr-e Kord.

Day 11           Choghakhor Lagoon / Isfahan

After having our Breakfast at the hotel, at 9:00 we visit Chaleshtar Castle then move to the Choghakhor Lagoon (60 km / 1 hour) and spend some time around the lagoon and have lunch there.

At 15:00 we head to Isfahan (153 km / 2h), we visit Church of Vank (4 km / 11 min), Zurkhaneh Ali Gholi Agha (5km / 15min) and Si-o-se pol Bridge. Then We have dinner and rest for the night.

Day 12          Isfahan

After having breakfast at Isfahan Hotel at 9:00 we go to Naghshe-e Jahan square so you can buy Isfahan handicrafts as a souvenir or for yourself. Then we continue our schedule by visiting Alighapu Palace, Sheikh Lotf Allah Mosque and Imam Mosque. Then we Spend some time having lunch and relax.

At 16:00 we go to visit Chehel Sotun and Khaju Bridge. We have dinner at a fine restaurant close to the bridge

Day 13          Tehran

This is the last day of your Western Iran Travel, at 9:00 we head back to Tehran (447km / 5h).

Having lunch and relaxing for a while.

We visit Saadabad palace and Tajrish bazaar so you can buy some souvenir of handicrafts from there. We have dinner at cozy restaurant in Darband restaurants.
